FORMER SOLDIERITE
DIES AT AMES                                    (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Ainsel Lloyd Christensen, 51, of Ames passed away Friday, Sept. 29 
following a stroke.  He had been in good health up to that time.  Ainsel was 
born in Soldier, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tony Christensen.  He attended 
Soldier grade school and was confirmed in Soldier Lutheran Church.  For the 
past several years he has operated the Ames golf course.
	Funeral services were held in Ames Monday.  Mr. and Mrs. Fred Briggs 
of Soldier were among those attending.  Ainsel was a nephew of Irene 
(Christensen Nordaker Briggs)
