Lifetime Resident
Called To Rest                               (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Mrs. Lena Christensen, 73, a lifelong resident of the Soldier 
community, passed away at her home Saturday.  	Lena Amelia Christensen, 
daughter of Sivert and Bertha Thompson, was born August 17, 1890 at Soldier, 
Iowa and passed from this life at her home in Soldier Saturday morning, March 
14th, 1964.
	On April 5, 1916 she was united in marriage to Albert Christensen at 
Ute, Iowa.  Mr. Christensen died in 1958.	
	Survivors include three daughters, Edith (Mrs. Bennett Longlee) of 
Soldier, Bernice (Mrs. Harold Shaffer) of Moorhead and Evelyn (Mrs. Alva 
Daniels) of Westport, Minn.; one sister, Miss Sarah Thompson of Soldier; nine 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and 
friends.
