	Effie Olson, 98, of Soldier, Iowa, died Monday, September 11, 1995, at 
Elmwood care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.
	Mrs. Olson was born January 12, 1897, near Soldier, Iowa, the daughter 
of William and Jennie (Brawley) Meadows.  She graduated from Soldier High 
School and received Normal Training.  She then taught in the Soldier/Ute 
area.  On December 14, 1918, she married Arnold Clemon in Soldier.  The couple 
farmed at Soldier.  He died February 25, 1949, at Soldier.  She married 
Ingvald Olson on December 29, 1951, in Onawa.  He died October 2, 1966, at 
Onawa.  She was a resident on the Dunlap Nursing Home and for the last three 
years had been a resident of Elmwood Care Centre.
	
	Survivors include a daughter and her husband of Soldier, three sons 
and their wives, a brother, Launie Meadows of Onawa, a stepdaughter of Sioux 
City, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twenty-three great 
grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, 
one step great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a grandson, 
Larry Clemon, and twelve brothers and sisters.
