	Effie Olson, 98, died Monday, September 11, 1995, at Elmwood Care 
Centre in Onawa, Iowa.
	Mrs. Olson was born January 12, 1897, near Soldier, Iowa, the daughter 
of William and Jennie (Brawley) Meadows.  On December 14, 1918, she married 
Arnold Clemon in Soldier.    He died February 25, 1949, at Soldier.  She 
married Ingvald Olson on December 29, 1951, in Onawa.  He died October 1, 
1966, at Onawa.  
	
	Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Joyce and Darrell Owens 
of Soldier, three sons and their wives, Gordon and Ruth of Soldier, Iowa, Glen 
and Catharine of Lake View, AR, and James and Christine of Omaha, NE, a 
brother, Launie Meadows of Onawa, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Earl (Joyce) Pratt of 
Sioux City, Iowa, thirteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twenty-three 
great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, four great great 
grandchildren, one step great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a grandson, 
Larry Clemon, and twelve brothers and sisters.
