        Mary J. Cooper, 93, of Ute died Saturday, Dec. 2, 1989, in Mapleton.
	Mary Bartholomew was born Dec. 5, 1895, at Moorhead.  She married Roy 
Cooper Dec. 7, 1912, at Onawa.   Mr. Cooper died in 1972.  
	Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Leona Johnson of Ute, Mrs. John 
(Edith) Johnson of Hawesville, Ky., Mrs. Richard (Norma) Larsen of Omaha and 
Mrs. Norris (Donna) Olson of Minot, N.D.; two sons, Glen of Tea, S.D. and Leo 
of Odebolt; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Gerald 
and Wade; a son-in-law, Vernon Johnson; two sisters; one brother and one great-
granddaughter.
