	James Emil Crawford, 43, of Soldier, Iowa, died on Tuesday, June 4, 
1996, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	He was born January 3, 1953, at Onawa, the son of Frank and Dorothy 
(Eliason) Crawford.   On November 26, 1971, he married Colleen Hartigan in St. 
Boniface catholic Church in Charter Oak.  
	
	He is survived by his wife, Colleen of Soldier; four sons, Ryan and 
his wife, Heidi of Ute, Jeremy and his wife, Laurie of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and 
Darin and Cole of Soldier; one daughter, Gina Crawford of Soldier; one 
grandson, Zachary of Soldier; his mother, Dorothy Crawford of Onawa; one 
brother and his wife, John and Ann of Onawa; a sister, Mrs. Mary Blauw of 
Ames; his mother-in-law, Nadine Hartigan of Ute; and many nieces and nephews, 
and aunts and uncles.
	He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Crawford, and his father-
in-law, James Hartigan.
