	Gordon D. Deen, 57, of Whiting, Iowa, died Sunday, December 13, 1992, 
at his home in Whiting.
	He was born April 20, 1935, in rural Whiting, the son of DeWayne 
Edward and Ada Mae (Cochran) Deen.     On March 17, 1959, he married Erika 
Stapel in Beverstedt, West Germany.  
	
	Survivors include his wife, Erika, of Whiting; two daughters and their 
husbands, Rhonda and Brad Simpson and Heidi and Rick Patterson, all of 
Whiting; a grandson, Chase Patterson of Whiting; two sisters, Mrs. James 
(Jana) Holcomb of Pismo Beach, CA, and Mrs. Gale (Darleen) Lee of Whiting; and 
two brothers, Donald of Whiting and Lavern and his wife, Jackine of Carroll.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
