    Rose Mariam DuVal, 64, of Onawa, Iowa, died Thursday, January 1, 1998, at 
Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	Mrs. DuVal was born May 13, 1933, in Jordan Township, near Soldier, 
Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Mariam (Carritt) Hadden.  On August 15, 1954, 
she married Larry DuVal at Soldier, Iowa
	Survivors include her husband, Larry of Onawa; three sons and their 
wives, David and Deborah of Ankeny, Iowa, Dean and JoAnn of Kobe, Japan, and 
Dale and Julie of Ashton, Iowa; one daughter and her husband, Diane and Dan 
Foss of Onawa; twelve grandchildren; one sister and her husband, Ruth and 
Harley Beall of Sioux City, Iowa, one brother and his wife, Don and Darlene 
Hadden of Castana; her mother-in-law, Geneva DuVal of Tabor, Iowa; and two 
brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Jay and Sharon DuVal of Huntington 
Beach, CA, and Bruce and Esta DuVal of Tabor, Iowa.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
