	Elmer M. Eskelsen, 83, Moorhead, Iowa, died Sunday, April 19, 1987, at 
Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born July 23, 1903, near Moorhead to Martin and Christine 
(Nielsen) Eskelsen.  On July 29, 1927, he married Frances Duer at Moorhead.  
The couple farmed near Moorhead until moving into Moorhead in 1951.    Mrs. 
Eskelsen died April 29, 1981, at Onawa.  	
	Survivors include one son, Louis of Duluth, Minn., and two 
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances, one 
brother, Edward, and one sister, Johanne Hansen.
