Anna O. Evenson                              (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Anna O. Evenson, a resident of Soldier, Iowa, the last 60 years, 
passed away at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa on April 23, 1973.  The 
daughter of Christian and Carrie Melby, she was born at Moorhead, Iowa on July 
10, 1888.
	She was united in marriage to Martin Evenson at Soldier and he died 
October 30, 1928.  
	Survivors include two daughters; her two sons; one brother john Melby 
of Soldier and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alvina Evenson of Soldier.  There are 
12 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Martin, and one son, Conrad, and three children in infancy.
