	Freda Fender, 88, died December 21, 1986, at Burgess Memorial Hospital 
in Onawa.
	She was born January 19, 1898, at Long Pine, Neb., to Olafur and 
Skulina (Skuladotter) Hallgrimson.  On April 3, 1920, she married Paul J. 
Fender at Bassett, Neb.  
	Survivors include her husband, Paul, a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Sprenger 
of Elgin, N.D., a son, Lloyd of Whiting, four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Lillie) 
Balkkolb of Mishawaka, Ind., Mrs. Sophia Shoff of Springfield, Mo., and Miss 
Rose and Miss Viola Hallgrimson, both of Bassett, two brothers, Ralph of 
Banning, Calif., and Paul of Bassett, four grandchildren and nine great 
grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.
