	Mrs. Carl Foss, 84, of Glenwood, Minn., a former Soldier resident, 
died Saturday, December 9 at Glenwood after a lengthy illness.
	
	Mrs. Foss, the former Josie Swenson, was born in Soldier, October 27, 
1894.  She married Carl O. Foss on May 24, 1916.  He died in 1928.  
	Surviving are a son, Almen of Glenwood; a brother, Adolph Swenson of 
Soldier; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Carritt and Mrs. Gunda Harris, both of 
Soldier, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
