	Irene F. Franklin, 92, Onawa, IA, died Sunday, April 18, 1993, in 
Whiting, IA.
	She was born November 10, 1900, in Moorhead, IA, the daughter of Irvin 
and Floy (Parker) Surber.   On January 26, 1920, she married Eldon E. 
Franklin.  
	Survivors include a son and his wife, Clark and Anne of Spokane, WA; a 
daughter and her husband, Lois and Melvin Wiese of Omaha; two sisters, Mildred 
Olson and Nora and her husband, J. Russell Cartmell, all of Onawa; six 
grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Rebecca Wiese of Clarinda, IA, 
Michael and Hanne Wiese of Atlanta, GA, Katharine and Leonard Stoner of Omaha, 
Thomas Wiese of Lincoln, Chris and Norm Moss of Spokane, and Brian Franklin of 
Spokane; and nine great-grandchildren	She was preceded in death by her 
parents; three sisters,  Edna Tornow, Mae Outhouse, and Everell Surber; a 
brother Charles; an infant brother; and a great-grandchild, Elisha.
