	Florence K. Garred, 94, Whiting, Iowa, died Sunday, September 17, 
1995, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	She was born August 13, 1901, at Syracuse, NY, the daughter of John 
Christian and Viola Elizabeth (Mickle) Phillips.  
	
	She is survived by two sons, Dr. John and his wife, Fern Garred of 
Whiting and Dr. William and his wife, Marilyn Garred of Carefree, AZ,  one 
grandson, Dr. John L. Garred, Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Whiting, and two 
great grandsons, Matthew John and John Taylor of Whiting.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, twin 
granddaughters, a granddaughter, Ann M. Garred, DDS, and two sisters, Eunice 
Wiley and Ruth McDougall.
