Ivan B. Gibbs

	Ivan B. Gibbs of Soldier, Iowa, died on Thursday, March 23, 1980, in 
the Dunlap Care Center at Dunlap, Iowa, following a long illness.  Death came 
at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 11 days.
	He was born on September 12, 1906, in Antelope County, Nebraska, the 
son of Solon and Anna (Schultz) Gibbs.  On February 21, 1935, he was married 
to Gilma Peterson in the Soldier Country Church.  
	He is survived by his wife, Gilma of Soldier, Iowa; one son and his 
wife of Ute, Iowa; two grandchildren, both of Ute, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. 
Ivora Schlensig of Phoenix, Arizona.
	Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Herbert, 
Cyril, and Ervin.
