	Emma Graetz, 89, of Soldier, Iowa, died Sunday, October 19, 1997, at 
Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	Emma was born December 10, 1907, in Soldier, Iowa, the daughter of Ole 
T. and Mattia (Fjeld) Hanson.  On July 14, 1929, she married Maurice “Dutch” 
Graetz in Soldier.    Mr. Graetz died July 24, 1974, in Soldier.  
	Survivors include a son and his wife, Jere and Lauretta of Burnsville, 
MN, three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Oscar Hanson of 
Rodney, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, “Dutch”, a 
daughter, Sharon; two sisters, Mary Ulven and Leona Outhouse; and three 
brothers, Clarence, Henry, and Guy Hanson.
