Mrs. Emma Groom				dated Jun 21, 1962
Dies Suddenly                                         (From the collection of 
Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Mrs. Emma Grooms of Ft. Dodge passed away early Tuesday morning 
following a stroke at about 10:00 p.m. Monday.  She was 62 years old.
	Mrs. Grooms was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen 
of Soldier and was born and reared in the Soldier community.  She is survived  
by a daughter, Mrs. Ovid (Catherine) Thoresdahl of Webster City, one grandson 
and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Briggs of Soldier and Mrs. Mark Dorothy of Ames.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne and two 
brothers, Tony and Nels Christensen.
	Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1:30 at the Lutheran 
church in Eagle Grove.
