Death came at the Onawa hospital. Mr. Hagen had not been in good health the past few years and had been patiently cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Hagen and Adolph Hagen, his sons and daughter-in-law. Mr. Hagen was a kind and loving husband and father and highly respected by everyone who knew him. In his days of better health he took an active part in the church and community affairs. Chris Hagen was born in Hollen, Norway March 19, 1875 and came to America in 1901. With exception of a fews(sic) years spent in Crawford county he was a resident of the Soldier community where he farmed. He was a member of Soldier Lutheran Church. Left to mourn his passing are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Miller of Ute; two sons, Adolph and Bennett, both of Soldier; five grand children, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 13, 1950 Funeral services will be held this Thursday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. in Soldier Lutheran Church. Pastor Maynard Moen will give the sermon. Burial will be in Soldier Valley Cemetery under direction of Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier.
