Born in Kingsley July 19, 1896 he was 65 years, 11 months and 15 days old. Mr. Hamman was the father of Mrs. Clark Olson of Soldier. He was united in marriage to Mae Fokken at Parker, S. D. June 11, 1924 and to this union four sons and five daughters were born. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic church at Blencoe. He is survived by the widow; four sons, Donald and Robert of Flagstaff, Arizona, David of Yokato AFB Japan and Vincent of Onawa; five daughters, Mrs. Eleanor DeLance of Little Sioux, Mrs. Agnes Olson of Soldier, Mrs. Joan Potts of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Patricia Thompson of Mo. Valley and Mrs. Betty Lou Brotherton of Co. Bluffs; three brothers and 17 grandchildren. Services were held at St. Bernard’s church in Blencoe July 7 at 9 a.m. with Father Thomas Molloy officiating. Bearers were Harold, Francis and James Hamman, Oliver Fokken, Ronald Niebreugge and Gary Plucker. Burial was in ST. Michael cemetery at Kingsley under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home.
