Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Moorhead Tuesday with Rev. Joel Boone officiating. Magnus Jepson was soloist and sang “Living for Jesus” and “Beyond The Sunset”. He was accompanied by Mrs. Jepson. Mrs. Wayne Outhouse was at the organ. Burial was in Spring Valley cemetery with Pearson funeral home in charge. Military rites were conducted by Peter A. Hansen post of the American Legion. Honorary bearers were Fern and John Neal, Frank Dunlop, Ralph Oldham, Joe Sorenson, J. Ray Hubbard, Ed Raymond, E. L. Taylor, Water Weldon and Harry Mortensen. Active bearers were Wilbur Mann, Park Moorhead, Mearl Wharton, Donald Hodges, Nels J. Nelson and Leo Hull. Mr. Hansen was born January 27, 1887 at Jellinge, Denmark and came to the United States in 1911. He settled at Moorhead in 1915. He married Sigrid Hansen on Aug. 4, 1917 at Sioux City. He was a member of the Christian church and of the Moorhead Masonic lodge. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Juhl and Stanley of Moorhead and Paul of Larkspur, Calif. And two daughters, Mrs. Hope Nielsen of Onawa and Mrs. Mary Lou Kaveney of Des Moines.
