     Orvan J. Hanson, 75, Soldier, died on February 10, 1987, in the Crawford 
County Memorial Hospital in Denison.
	He was born at Soldier on August 31, 1911, the son of Ole J. and Hilda 
(Wingate) Hanson.  He married Corrinne Cusick August 25, 1938, in Burbank, 
S.D.  
	
	Survivors include his wife, Corrinne; two sons; and daughter; a 
brother, Hersel Hanson of Soldier; seven grandchildren and many nieces and 
nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Wallace, 
Willard and Clarion.
