INGA HANSON (From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen) Funeral services for Mrs. Inga Hanson were held at Soldier Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23 with Pastor Maynard Moen officiating. Mrs. Norman C. Hanson was soloist and sang “Den Store Hvide Flok” and “Just As I Am”, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Harry Andersen. Interment was in Soldier Valley Cemetery under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Harvey Hanson, Brady Hanson, Neal Hanson, Carl Anderson, James Spencer and Clarence Struble. Mrs. Hanson was born April 24, 1883 at Aurdal, Norway and passed from this life at the Bennett Nursing Home in Turin on Monday, March 19, 1962 at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 25 days. She had been in failing health for several months. She came to America in 1914 and to the Soldier community the same year and this had been her home since that time. She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Chris Hanson in Norway. Mr. Hanson preceded her in death several years ago. Survivors include four sons, Koore of Lincoln, Nebr., Martin of Soldier, Elvin of Castana and Norman of Moorhead; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Anderson of Omaha, Mrs. Dale Percy of Sioux City, Mrs. Carl Wagner of Turin and Mrs. Charles Kerr of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Hans and Harold.
