 Alvin L. Harding, 88, of Whiting died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at a Sioux City 
hospital.  He  was born Nov. 25, 1914, in O'Neill, Neb., the son of Lloyd and 
Anna (Johnson) Harding.  He married Lorraine Waugh on March 21, 1936, in Sioux 
City. 

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; a son and his wife, Lyle and Barbara of 
Whiting; two daughters and their husbands, Carol Ann and Jack Seward of Marble 
Falls, Texas, and Dixie and Sonny Kelsheimer of Centerton, Ark.; three 
brothers, Jim and his wife, Tess of Huntsville, Ala., Raymond and his wife, 
Myrna of Smithland, Iowa, and Leonard of Whiting; a sister-in-law, Doris 
Harding of Whiting; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three 
great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Verna Bartlett and Donna Rae "Tootie" 
Caster; a brother, Bernard; a grandson, Stacy; and a granddaughter, Christy.
