Levi J. Harms								1998

	Levi James Harms, 100, Onawa, Iowa, died Sunday, March 15, 1998, at 
the Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.
	Mr. Harms was born on April 22, 1897, in Sublette, MO the ninth of ten 
children of Adolph and Josephine (Hood) Harms.  On May 13, 1923, he married 
Bernice Dugdale at Onawa.  To this union four children were born, Fred, 
Darlene, Robert, and Geraldine.  Bernice died June 14, 1977, at Onawa.  He 
married Henrietta Rohrer on January 28, 1979, in Onawa.
	
	He is survived by his wife, Henrietta; two daughters and their 
husbands, Darlene and Leslie Beigel of Smithville, MO, and another daughter of 
Onawa; two daughters-in-law, Betty (Mrs. Robert) Harms of Onawa and Elizabeth 
(Mrs. Fred) Harms of McAllen, TX; four step-children; thirteen grandchildren; 
eight step-grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great great 
grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernice; two sons, 
Robert and Frederick; five brothers and four sisters.
