Fred W. Hawthorn

	 Fred W. Hawthorn, 98, of Castana died Tuesday, March 5, 1991,  in 
Sioux City.
	
	Mr. Hawthorn was born Jan. 13, 1893, in Onawa, IA.   On July 26, 1924, 
he married Nell Keller in Iowa City.  She died Jan. 10, 1973.  
	Survivors include a son of Castana; a daughter of Sioux City; three 
grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
	He was also preceded in death by a brother.
