	Fred W. Hawthorn, 98, of Castana died Tuesday, March 5, 1991, at 
Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City.
	Mr. Hawthorn was born Jan. 13, 1893, in Onawa. On July 26, 1924. He 
married Nell Keller in Iowa City.  She died Jan. 10, 1973.  
	Survivors include a son, Robert of Castana; a daughter, Louise McGrail 
of Sioux City; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
	He was also preceded in death by a brother.


Additional Comments:
According to an obit, his father was W. F. Hawthorn and his mother Louise Ann 
Masters.
