He was living with his son, Maynard at Hanford during the winter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Soldier Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry C. Sorensen officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Peter A. Hansen post 365, American Legion in Jordan cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Pearson funeral home of Soldier. Mr. Hedum was born Sept. 29, 1894 at Soldier. He married Ruth Carritt Oct. 28, 1919. She died in 1936. He married Altha Taylor in January 1937 and she died in 1943. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Soldier and the American Legion at Moorhead. He was a veteran of world war 1. Survivors besides the son, include two daughters, Mrs. Jean Berg of Castana and Mrs. Charlene Frazier of Eldora, Iowa; two other sons, Alfred of Pasco, Wash. And Marlin, in the Navy; his father, John Hedum and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Laidler and Mrs. Hazel Lee, all of Soldier; two brothers, Carl of Ida Grove and Rudolph of Whiting; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Hedum Services Held The Sentinel published the obituary of Pearl Leonard Hedum last week. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at the Lutheran church in Soldier. Pastor Harry C. Sorensen conducted the service. Mrs. Norman C. Hanson sang Face to Face and The Old Rugged Cross, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Harry Andersen. The casket bearers were Clifford Swenson, Fred W. Bell, Art Olson, Olaf Olson, E. W. Matthaidess and Conrad Mathison. Peter A. Hanson Post 365 conducted military rites at the Jordan cemetery with Commander Clifford Swenson in charge.
