Rudolph “Red” Hedum                       (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Rudolph W. “Red” Hedum, 90, Whiting, Iowa, died Saturday, January 22, 
1994, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting.
	He was born November 29, 1903, near Soldier, Iowa, the son of John and 
Karin (Pettersson) Hedum.    On April 9, 1925, he married Julia 
Mildred “Milly” Robinson at Whiting.  
	Survivors include his wife of Whiting, two daughters, Joy Thompson and 
her husband, William of Sioux City, and one  of Houston, TX, a son-in-law, 
Charles Rowland of Sioux City, twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great 
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Rowland, two grandsons, 
three great granddaughters, three brothers and two sisters.
