MAPLETON, Iowa -- Ella E. Zediker, 93, of Mapleton died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 
2004, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting, Iowa.

Ella Elizabeth Zediker was born June 5, 1910, in Dunlap, Iowa, the daughter of 
Marcus and Bertha (Grube) Kock. 

On March 14, 1928, she married Edward Henshen. He passed away Jan. 8, 1976. 
She married Grant Zediker on July 2, 1953. He passed away May 30, 1957. Unto 
these marriages, she had four sons, two daughters and a stepson.


She is survived by three sons and their wives, all of Springfield, Ore.; a 
daughter and her husband of Smithland, Iowa; a daughter-in-law of Sioux City; 
a sister-in-law, Mabel Henshen of Charter Oak, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 33 
great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Carl; a daughter, Florence 
Best; a stepson, Ivan Zediker; and parents; and all of her brothers and 
sisters.
