	Opal G. Hinkel, 85, of Onawa, Iowa, and formerly of Moorhead, Iowa, 
died Thursday, December 31, 1992, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	She was born August 13, 1907, in rural Moorhead, the daughter of John 
and Lavina (Johnston) Laidler.   On November 15, 1928, she married 
Donald “Bus” Hinkel at Omaha, NE.  
	
	Survivors include her husband, three daughters, and their husbands, 
Jeanne and Bill Irwin of Onawa, Lois and Ray Hoffman and Kathy and 
Clayton “Butch” Holverson, all of Moorhead, a sister, Doris E. Kline of Turin, 
a brother P. H. Laidler of Payson, AZ, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great 
grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three 
brothers.
