	Charles Edwin Hitchman, 64, Blencoe, Iowa, died March 22, 1987,  in 
Sioux City, Iowa.
	C. Edwin “Ed” was born July 22, 1922, in Omaha, Neb., to Charles 
Mullen and Edna Mae (Ballard) Hitchman.   On April 26, 1944, he married 
Eleanor Ruth Wolfe in Annapolis, Md
	Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, five children, Judy Mock of 
Blencoe, Charles E. Hitchman, II of Blencoe, James Hitchman of Pine Bush, 
N.Y., Mrs. D.R. (Rebecca) Langren of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Lucinda Hitchman 
of Blencoe, one sister, Mrs. Hubert (Mary) Pandorf of Callaway, Neb., seven 
grandchildren, and many friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents.
