	The Rev. Ernest E. Hoff, 93,  Eau Claire, WI  54701, died at his home 
at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
	Ernest was born July 6, 1897, in Madison, Minn., to Augusta 
(Gunnulvsen) and the Rev. Lars Martinus Hoff.  He was married to Gladys C. 
Olson, August 21, 1932, at Calamus, Iowa.  Among the parishes served by Pastor 
Hoff was  Soldier, Iowa 1937-1947;  
	Pastor Hoff is survived by his wife, Gladys, his son Paul of Eau 
Claire, his daughter, Marilyn Brende of Topeka, Kan., a brother, Hjalmer of 
Minneapolis, Minn., a brother Wilhelm of Madison, Minn., a sister, A. Louise 
Larson of Minneapolis, Minn., nine grandchildren, and three great 
grandchildren.
