Curt F. Hoffman	               (From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Curt F. Hoffman, 88, of Onawa, died March 20, 1986, at Burgess 
Memorial Hospital, Onawa, after a brief illness.
	He was born April 18, 1897, on the family farm west of Onawa in 
Franklin Township to August and Caroline (Brandt) Hoffman.  On December 10, 
1919, he was married to Lorine Kahrs at Mapleton.    She died January 25, 
1965, at Onawa.
		He was the Beloved Father of five daughters, Virginia (Mrs. 
Stanley Massie) of San Antonio, Texas, Phyllis (Mrs. Paul Nutt) of Iowa City, 
Mary (Mrs. Ervin Zahn) of Shawano, Wis., a daughter  of Mapleton, and a 
daughter  of Castana; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, 
and a great great grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandson, William 
Curt Nutt; a son-in-law, Loren Riddle, four sisters, Erna, Elsie (Mrs. Frank 
Wilkens), Anna (Mrs. Robin Cooper) and Ellen (Mrs. William Hale), and six 
brothers, Frank, William, Albert, Ervin, Clarence and Herman.
