Holverson, 84, of Soldier, Iowa, died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa. Celia was born May 29, 1915, at Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of Hiram and Lenora (Holton) Allen. On September 30, 1933, she married W. Howard Holverson at Onawa and the couple moved to Soldier to make their home. Mr. Holverson died August 2, 1984, at Onawa. Survivors include one son and his wife, Harold and Margaret Holverson of Soldier, Iowa; one daughter and her husband, Mary and John Collison of Albaton, Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Linda Holverson of Soldier, Iowa; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; three sisters, Evelyn Calif of South Sioux City, NE, Jessie Allen of Turin and Amy and her husband, Niles Pierce of Burlington, WA; five brothers, Arthur Allen of Iowa City, IA; John Allen and wife, Dorothy of Dexter, OR, Lloyd Allen and wife, Pat of Kelso, WA, Joseph “Bud” Allen and wife, Mary of Soldier; and Everett Allen and wife, Nancy of Onawa; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard Harding of Whiting, Iowa and Melvin Selby of Tacoma, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; a son, Wilmer “Skip”; a great granddaughter, Danielle Withee; a grandson, Michael Collison; three brothers, Kenneth Allen, David Allen, and George Allen; and four sisters, Esther Campbell, Viola Selby, LaVera Olson, and Laura Harding.
