	Joe Jary, 79, formerly of Soldier, Iowa, died Friday, March 14, 1997, 
at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born February 21, 1918, in Volov, Czechoslovakia, the son of 
Fred and Mary (Kedlec) Jary. 	He  married Ruth Johnson June 18, 1960, at 
Onawa.  
	He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Whiting; one sister and her 
husband, Mary and Tony Santora of Omaha; one brother, Leo of Onawa; and a 
sister-in-law, Joy Jary of Whiting; and many nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred; and two 
infant brothers.
