Emil C. Johnson                   (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	HARTINGTON, Neb. – Emil C. Johnson, 98,  died Sunday in nursing home 
in Hartington.
	
	Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1886, in Maskell, NE.  He married Nellie 
Wingate Feb. 15 1911, at Hartington.  She died Oct. 29, 1967
	
	Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lavern Swacina of Omaha, Mrs. 
Ferne Metz of Sioux City and Mrs. Merle (Betty) Palmer of Hartington; four 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Nellie was daughter of Andrew Wingate, brother to Hans Wingate, Soldier.
