	John P. Johnson, 96, of Moorhead, Iowa, died Thursday, April 15, 1993, 
at Elmwood Care Centre, in Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born February 28, 1897, at Moorhead, Iowa to Peter and Mary 
(Nelson) Johnson.  On September 2, 1922, he married Anna Kjeer at Onawa.     
Mrs. Johnson died November 11, 1983, at Onawa.
	
	Survivors include three daughters, Leone Murdock of Sioux City, Iowa, 
Jeanette Peyton of Omaha, NE, and Mrs. Dale (Virgia) Savery of Bentonville, 
AR, one son, and his wife, Mearl and Betty Johnson of Dunlap, Iowa, nineteen 
grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, thirteen brothers 
and sisters, one grandson, Mark Murdock and one great grandson, Jarred Gregory.
