	Edith D. Johnson, 88, of Sergeant Bluff died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1988, in 
a Sioux City Hospital.
	
	Mrs. Johnson, the former Edith Buckland, was born July 8, 1900, in 
Mapleton.   On Dec. 30, 1925, she married John C. Johnson at Sioux City.    He 
died in 1964.
	
	Survivors include two sons, Leonard and Wayne, both of Sergeant 
Bluff;  a brother, Lee of Sergeant Bluff; six grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, two brothers 
and four sisters.
