Ingrid C. Shaffer, 92, Turin, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 20, 1996, at 
Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

	Mrs. Shaffer was born December 17, 1903, near Turin, the daughter of 
Christian and Juliann (Moller) Madsen. 	 She married Arthur Francis Jordan on 
May 18, 1929, at Elk Point, SD.  Mr. Jordan died December 7, 1936, near Holly 
Springs, Iowa.  She married Merle L. Shaffer February 23, 1939, at Ida Grove, 
Iowa.    Mr. Shaffer died March 21, 1993, at Onawa.
	
	Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Karen and Sheldon 
Zimmerman of Red Wing, MN; two sons and their wives, Jack and Ruth Jordan and 
Fran and Judi Jordan, all of Turin; four grandchildren; three step-
grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren; and one sister, Emily Miner 
of Cullowhee, NC.
	She was preceded in death by four brothers, Axel, Magnus, Richard and 
Ted Madsen and one sister, Olive Burke as well as her parents and her husbands.
