Death resulted from coronary thrombosis and complications which followed. Caroline Elizabeth Carr was born in New London, Iowa March 18, 1883. She was married to Dr. Emil C. Junger of Soldier, Iowa, December 10, 1903. The family moved to Onawa in 1920 and resided at 221 W. Broadway South. The five children all graduated from Onawa High school. Mrs. Junger had resided for the past six years with her daughter Ruth in Chicago. She was an active member of the Christian church and the Onawa Women’s Club during her residence there. Survivors are the husband Emil Charles, daughters Esther Iler, Ruth Junger and Catherine Burton, sons Emil and Quentin, sisters Bessie Young, Mary Smith, Ann Butler and Candace Holverson, brothers Emmet, Knowles and Joseph, granddaughters Carolyn Younger, Polly Ann Larsen and Nancy Mortensen and grandsons John and James Iler. Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon, Jan. 26 at Lain Chapel, 5501 Ashland Ave. Rev. Stanley Crosland of the Rogers Park Congregational church read the service. Interment was in Wunder cemetery, Chicago. Dr. E. C. Junger and Mrs. Herbert Holverson of Soldier, Emil Junger of Salinas, Calif. and Pvt. Quentin Junger and wife Value, of Oklahoma City, Okla. traveled to Chicago to attend the services.
