        Raymond Clyde Kirk, 93, of Whiting, Iowa, passed from this life 
Monday, August 23, 1999, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.
	Clyde was born October 13, 1905, in rural Whiting, the son of Elbert 
and Mattie (Dyer) Kirk.  He attended country school in Whiting.
	On September 14, 1930, he married Maxine Kenney at Whiting
	
	Survivors include a daughter, Pat Deen, of Onawa; granddaughters and  
great grandchildren ; a grandson of Salix; 1 sister, Marie Lawson of Vinita, 
Oklahoma, 1 niece, Betty Lou Roberts, and a nephew, LaVail Lawson.
	He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Maxine, a son, Bill 
Kirk, a son-in-law, Franklin Robert Beedle, his parents, 3 brothers, Hubert, 
Herbert, and Claudie; 1 sister, Bonnie Ping, and 2 nieces, Elaine (Ping) Lynn 
and Lavonne (Lawson) Leisinger.
