John O. Knoff                         (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	John O. Knoff, 86, Turin, Iowa, passed away April 8, 1984, at Burgess 
Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born October 26, 1897, at Moorhead, Iowa, to Charles and Thora 
Kjistensen Knoff.  On December 8, 1920, he was united in marriage to Ellen K. 
Carlson.  She died September 16, 1970, at Onawa, Iowa
	
	Survivors include:  2 sons, Everett and Dale, both of Castana, Iowa; 1 
daughter, Mrs. Donald (Virgie) Davis, Turin, Iowa, 6 grandchildren and 1 great 
grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen; 1 sister, 
Kristine, and 5 brothers, Chris, Ben, Pete, Joe, and Andrew.
