CHRIS KNUTSON                             (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Chris Engvold Knutson the son of Engebret and Mary (Christianson) 
Knutson was born October 10, 1891 in rural Soldier.  
	He was united to Leona Lee on April 8, 1915 at Denison, Iowa.  To this 
union four sons and three daughters were born.  His wife preceded him in death 
on August 5, 1947.
	
	He passed away in Missouri Valley June 6, 1979.
	Survivors include three daughters; three sons:  Vernon of Dunlap, 
Harlan, Chicago, Illinois:  and William D. of Dunlap.  One sister, Mrs. Mabel 
Anderson of Sioux City, Iowa.  12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.  
Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, 
Clayton and three sisters.
