Alice M. Knutson

Alice M. Knutson, 94, of Sioux City died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at a Sioux 
City nursing home.

Mrs. Knutson was born Oct. 21, 1905, in Ute, the daughter of Issac and Lydia 
(Howland) Strait

She married Roy K. Knutson in December 1926. The couple moved to Sioux City in 
1941. He died Aug. 9, 1968, in Sioux City.

Survivors include two daughters of Sioux City; four sons, Lyle, Raymond and 
his wife, Lucille, and Richard and his wife, Donna, all of Sioux City, and 
Harold and his wife, Irene, of Sebring, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-
grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Jr.; four sisters, Effie, Mamie, Mabel 
and Ruth; five brothers, Dow, Rollie, Albert, Vick and William; a grandson, 
Stanley Knutson; a granddaughter, Patty; and an infant granddaughter.
