Edna Amanda Kragel was born February 15, 1915, the daughter of William and 
Lena Goslar Holtorf. She died at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, 
Iowa, Friday, May 4, 2001.  On December 5, 1935  she was united in marriage to 
Martin Kragel. Martin passed away in 1977.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin in 1977; one 
grandson, Dean Martin Kragel in 1960; and two sisters, LaVerne Kragel and Ruth 
Borcherdt. 

Survivors include three sons, Donald and his wife, Judy, and Gene and his 
wife, Lori, all of Ute and Richard and his wife, Phyllis of Charter Oak; nine 
grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Walter Holtorf 
and his wife, Maureen of Denison.
