She was born July 30, 1880. When she was three weeks old, her mother brought her, with the brother Peter and sister Emma, to his(sic) country. Her father had already come to make a home for them. She married Hans Larson March 2, 1898. Three children were born to this union: Oscar and Harold, both living in Dunlap, and Olga, Mrs. Conrad Rude, now of Ute. Hans died September 30, 1931. She married Fred Major July 30, 1938 and moved to Dunlap that spring. Fred died that same year, Nov. 17. Anna was living in Dunlap when she fell down a flight of stairs and suffered fatal injuries, Friday, Nov. 4. She passed away at the Denison hospital Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1960 at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 8 days. She is survived by a brother, Ole Peterson of Soldier; two sisters, Lena (Mrs. Swen) Swenson of Moorhead and Mrs. Nettie Sumner of Sioux City; her three children, Oscar, Harold and Olga (Mrs. Conrad Rude); ten grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, besides a brother Peter and two sisters, Emma and Bertha and a half-sister Agnetta, and her parent preceded her in death. She was buried in the Soldier Valley cemetery Friday, Nov. 11 following services at the Lutheran church in Dunlap. Pallbearers were Clayton Rude, Wilbur Rude, Gordon Larson, Milton Larson, Floyd Leaver and Clifford Thoreson. At the services Mrs. Bernard Berens sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again”. Organist was Mrs. Wm. Rannells.
