ELMER LEE DIES
AT AGE 89				(From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Elmer Clarence Lee, a lifetime resident of Soldier, Iowa, passed away 
October 3, 1974 at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa.  
		Born on October 5, 1885 at rural Soldier, he was the son of 
Mitchell and Lena Erickson Lee.  He was united in marriage to Anna Thompson in 
1906.  She preceded him in death in 1923.  On January 10, 1931 he married 
Mergena Erickson at Council Bluffs, Iowa.  She passed away on October 19, 1967 
at Soldier.
	
	Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Palma) Erickson of Ute 
and Mrs. Jack (Janet) Sanford of Carroll; one son, Elliott of LeMars, 6 
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; one 
sister, Mrs. Elma Wilson of West Liberty, Iowa and 2 brothers, George of 
Soldier and Amos of Mt. Ayr, Iowa.
	He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one infant son.
