OBITUARY OF MRS. EDNA LEE           (Contributor’s date:  1945)

	Edna L., eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Massie, died at a 
hospital in Hollywood, California, Wednesday afternoon, May 2.  She was born 
in Logan August 20, 1879.  Her girlhood and young womanhood was spent in Logan 
where she attended high school, later attending State Teachers College at 
Cedar Falls and was afterwards a teacher in the schools of Harrison county, 
Iowa.
	On October 16, 1902 she was married to Frank Lee, a resident of Monona 
county, where they made their home for some time.  Three sons, Kermit, Addison 
and Victor and one daughter, Frances, were born to this union.  The husband 
passed away several years ago and Mrs. Lee moved with her family to Logan 
where she made her home for several years.  She was named deputy county 
treasurer under J. C. Hammitt and served in that capacity several years.  
Besides the three children named she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Olive 
McComb, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. A. C. McGill, Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Helen 
Peterson, Los Angeles, and Miss Lucille Massie, Omaha.
	Two of her sons are in the armed service of their country.  The eldest 
son, Kermit served an enlistment in the Marines, and the daughter is employed 
in war work in Los Angeles.
	Mrs. Lee was a good Christian woman, interested in all good works in 
church and other activities for the betterment of the communities in which she 
lived.
	A memorial wreath to the Soldier Lutheran Church was given in memory 
of Mrs. Lee by relatives and friends.
