	Lena Lee, 98, of Moorhead, one of the oldest residents of Monona 
county, passed away at her home Saturday, January 2.  	Lena Lee was born in 
Gran, Hadelund, Norway September 20, 1861, the daughter of Eric and Bertha 
Ragnhilrud.  She passed away at her home in Moorhead January 2, 1960
	
	In November 6, 1884 she was married to Mitchell K. Lee at the home of 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Knute Lee.  
	To this union were born eight children, seven sons and one daughter 
Elmer and George of Soldier, Marvel of Onawa, Amos of West Des Moines, Orren 
of Moorhead, and Mrs. Alma Wilson of West Liberty, Iowa.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband in April 1920 and two sons, Melvin and Bennett.
	She leaves to mourn her passing 110 descendants representing five 
generations.  She has two living sisters, one in Norway and Mrs. Oline 
Sandvold of Moorhead.
