Lindgren, 82, well known farmer of the Preparation area between Moorhead and Pisgah, died Saturday of injuries suffered in a car-truck collision on the road from Moorhead to Turin which is being paved, on Friday. Johnny Conyers, another aged Moorhead resident, who was riding with him, was also injured critically. Mr. Conyers’ son was uninjured. The men had visited the Van Iperen pony farm about two miles south of the Belvidere cemetery. As Mr. Lindgren was leaving the farm he evidently pulled onto the road in front of the empty batch truck which was returning to Turin for another load of cement mixture. The truck driver was uninjured but his truck as well as the car, was badly damaged. Funeral services for Mr. Lindgren were held at the Bethesda Lutheran church at Moorhead Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Harold E. Koehler officiated. Burial was in the Spring Valley cemetery under the direction of Wood funeral home of Whiting. Mr. Lindgren was born November 8, 1880 at Clinton, Iowa. He came to the Moorhead vicinity in 1905. He married Bessie Sorenson August 12, 1908 at Moorhead. Mr. Lindgren was a member of Bethesda Lutheran church and was on the board of directors of the Monona County Mutual Insurance Co. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. L. W. Larson and Mrs. D. P. Dyhshopp, both of Spencer; seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
